BASIC-2 COURSE (6 Months)

An intermediate Hindustani vocal course designed to strengthen paltas, explore raag development, and build mastery in bandish, taan, aalap, and bol-banao. Students begin performing structured raags with confidence and creativity.

Monthly Progression

• Month 1 – Advanced Paltas & Swaras: Jumping Palta, Laykari in Sargam, create your own Palta, Bhajan/Ghazal basics → Musical creativity & swara refinement
• Month 2 – Raag Yaman Introduction: Aroh-Avroh, paltas & listening in Yaman → First steps into Raag exploration
• Month 3 – Yaman Bandish: Notation, bol, 8-beat taan → First complete Bandish performance
• Month 4 – Bandish Development: Akaar, Tihai, Bol Aalap, Bol Banao → Bandish fluency with expression
• Month 5 – Raag Bhairav Introduction: Sargam, sapat, paltas, Drut Khayal notation → Second Raag study begins
• Month 6 – Bhairav Bandish: Bol, Taan, Vistaar, Tihai, Bol Banao → Confidence in Raag Bhairav performance
